Clive Bush




Clive Bush is Emeritus Professor of American Literature at King�s College University of London.  He has widespread interests in 19th and 20th century English and American literature, cultural studies, philosophy and critical theory, poetry of all countries and periods and contemporary British experimental poetry.

 

He has written four books of poetry

 Clearing the Distance: poems 1974-1978 (Leamington: Arts Co-operative, 1978).

Lizzy Dijeh

 

Lizzy Dijeh is a British playwright and poet of Nigerian origin. She is a graduate of York University where she read English and Related Literature. Her poetry has featured in past editions of Wasafiri, an international literary magazine of critical and contemporary writing, and she recently performed a selection of her work at the Southbank Centre in 2009 in a special anniversary event to celebrate 25 years of the magazine. Some of her poetry will also be published in Red: Contemporary Black British Poetry, a book of new Black British poetry, co-edited by Kwame Dawes and due for release in February 2010.

Her play, 'High Life' debuted at the Hampstead Theatre, in the Michael Frayn Space in October 2009 and was also shortlisted for the prestigious Alfred Fagon Award in 2007.

Laura Dockrill

  

 

Laura Dockrill is a poet and illustrator from South London. A graduate of The Brit School of Performing Arts, Laura was named one of the top ten literary stars by The Times. Her sassy and unique way with words has captivated audiences at gigs and festivals everywhere, including Glastonbury, Latitude and Reading, and as a support act for Martha Wainwright, Kate Nash and Adele. Laura has illustrated all things Kate Nash; albums, singles, t-shirts and more. She has also provided the illustrations for many other products and promotions from chocolate wrappers to condom tins.

 

Laura is involved in BBC Schools campaign 'Off By Heart' to encourage children to embrace poetry. She is currently writing her third book and working on her first children’s poetry book. She aslso runs poetry workshops at schools and libraries around the country, alongside performing her poems to audiences everywhere.
